This tree was found in Marianna, Florida, but it is exactly like the trees we saw in Mobile, Alabama. Can anyone identify the tree, or the “stuff” hanging off of it?

I can’t believe nobody’s answered in 7 years!
That would be an oak tree, probably a live oak, and the stuff hanging from it is Spanish Moss.

I love Spanish Moss. We had tons of it in Pensacola, FL. It’s so pretty & looks spooky on a foggy night.
