There is some excitement around the lodge regarding today’s activity – a pontoon boat rental on Lake Superior, and the viewing of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
We left the house at 8am for our 45min drive to Munising, located on the southern shore of Lake Superior.

We took the boat along the coast with the goal to view the colorful rocks, caves, and waterfalls.
Along the way we got to see Mosquito Beach (no thanks) and a Bald Eagle (America!).

Mallory the Tour Guide

After we finished our boat ride, we split up into three teams. Miles, Peyton & Scarlett had to head back to the Lodge since some people in their party like to take naps.
Stephanie, Mallory and I hit the gift shops in Munising, then drove through the National Lakeshore, and took several hikes.

Scott, Erin, Ellery and PK also explored more of the UP on our last full day. They hit up Lakenenland (a sculpture park), and a local ice cream shop.

Evening activities back at home base included a final visit for ice cream at the Dairy-Flo, then more Rummicube.

And that wrapped up our week in the Upper Peninsula. What a wonderful time we had. So thankful for family time and travel to new places!
